29 Weeks

Here's my Week 29 belly shot...
(Yes, I'm standing on the coffee table! The mirror I usually use broke a few weeks ago. No one was in the room when it happened, so I hope the 7 years of bad luck doesn't apply! P.S. My hand is not deformed. I have no idea why it looks like that!)

Can you say SPOILED?
It's not really as bad as it looks. Only about this much are Newborn or 0 - 3 Months....Everything else will get packed away until he's able to wear it. Aunt B. just had too much fun hanging it all up! :)

Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain.

Nursery Surprise!

Grandpa & Grandma Salger and Aunt B. gave us a nice little surprise on Tuesday night. They finished all the trim and hung the curtains and shades in Baby K's room. Grandma S. even steam cleaned the carpets! Time to move the furniture in!!

Week 27

Posted by Chrystal

Today is the start of week 27. Only 90 days until July 11. Where has the time gone? Check out how big he's getting...

This week your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like the head of cauliflower) and is about 14.4 inches long with his legs extended. He can now open and close his eyes, and he sleeps and wakes at regular intervals. He may suck his fingers, and although his lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with assistance — if he were to be born prematurely. Chalk up any rhythmic movement you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and isn't bothersome to him, so enjoy the tickle. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. Wonder what he's thinking?

My glucose test came back without any problems. Bring on the sugar!

Our next appointment is at 30 weeks on May 1. After that I'll start going every three weeks instead of every 4. Time is flying!

Here's to a happy and uneventful third trimester! :)

This was installed outside of our building over the weekend. The best part is that I'm the only one pregnant in our building!
